Transition with Time

It’s been approximately 2 years since I started my journey to fitness. Along the way I’ve lost not only 40lbs and a lot of inches but a ton of bad habits as well! My eating habits were down right ridiculous during my first 2 years in college. I ate at all hours of the day (sometimes I’d even eat fast food at 3am!!!), drank almost every weekend, ate what was cheap and easy, and to top it all off…. I didn’t workout!!!😱😱😱 I was 143lbs when I got into college and when I had my epiphany I was 179.8~180lbs! I knew I had gained weight but I didn’t realize it was that much. 2 years later… I’m older and I feel a lot better overall. I’m healthier and stronger than I’ve ever been… I can boldly say “I’m in the best shape of my life!!!” I did it for myself not for anybody else. And truth be told I’ve learned so much about myself in the entire process and I am still learning till this day. I don’t necessarily have a goal at this point… I just want to be better than I was yesterday! I had the people who laughed when I started the transition and then there were those that were there to support me through it. I say thank you to both groups today because I think my doubters gave me the extra push that I needed to succeed. All I can say is nothing is impossible to achieve, you just have to put your mind to it. Also, there are no shortcuts in life… Your final result comes from how much work you put in be it with school, your body, your health or life in general… Yes, Rome wasn’t built in a day but it wasn’t buil in 14, 30, 60, or 90 days either… If you know what I mean…😏
